About This Design
The Celare by Si Vis Amari is a hidden halo engagement ring designed for those who want more than meets the eye. From above, it reads as a clean, minimal setting — but look from the side and a halo of diamonds encircles the centre stone beneath the crown, catching light from every angle. It’s a ring with a secret, and one of our most admired designs.
The name comes from the Latin celare, meaning to conceal. The hidden halo sits just below the girdle of the centre diamond, invisible from the top but beautifully visible in profile and from the side. This gives the ring extraordinary sparkle without the wider, more ornate look of a traditional halo setting.
Design Details
The centre diamond is held in a four-claw setting that lifts the stone to let light enter from every direction. Beneath it, a ring of micro-set diamonds forms the hidden halo — carefully positioned so they enhance the centre stone without competing with it. The effect is a ring that appears to glow from within, with a brilliance that surprises anyone who sees it up close.
The gallery — the space between the band shoulders and the underside of the diamond — is open and sculpted, allowing daylight through and making the hidden halo fully visible from the side. The band is slender and refined, tapering gently as it meets the setting to keep the overall profile elegant and wearable.
Your Diamond
The Celare is available with both lab-grown and natural diamonds, so you can choose the stone that best reflects your values and budget.
Our lab-grown diamonds are graded to D or E colour with VS1 to VVS1 clarity and an Excellent or Ideal cut — the finest quality available, without the ethical and environmental concerns of mining. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined diamonds. They are real diamonds, certified independently by the IGI or GIA.
For natural diamonds, we source stones individually to match your requirements. Whether you have a specific carat weight, colour, or budget in mind, we’ll find the right stone and walk you through the options before you commit. Request a natural diamond quote through the configurator or get in touch directly.
Si Vis Amari offers multiple quality tiers for our lab-grown collection. The standard shown here — D/E colour, VS1–VVS1 clarity, Excellent cut — is our recommendation and it’s the standard we set for our own rings. The cut grade, in particular, is something we never compromise on — it’s the single biggest factor in how much a diamond sparkles, and every stone we set is cut to Excellent or Ideal grade.
Choose Your Shape
Select from a variety of diamond shapes to suit your style. The Celare is available in oval for a contemporary elongated look, round brilliant for classic fire, and a range of other cuts to match your personal preference. Each shape interacts with the hidden halo differently, creating a unique character depending on the diamond you choose.
How It Works
Use the configurator above to build your ring exactly as you want it. Select your diamond shape, choose your preferred metal — platinum, 18ct yellow gold, 18ct white gold, or 18ct rose gold — and pick your carat weight. The price updates live as you configure, so there are no surprises and no waiting for a quote.
If you’d prefer a natural diamond, a carat weight outside the standard ranges, or have any other specific requirements, get in touch. We’ll put together a bespoke quote and walk you through the options.
