The Ornata by Si Vis Amari is a design created to achieve that vintage diamond engagement ring look that draws its character from the decorative jewellery traditions of the past. The name comes from the Latin ornata, meaning adorned — and every element of this ring lives up to it. A cushion-cut or old cut centre diamond is flanked by delicate side stones that frame the main stone with brilliance, creating a design that feels both romantic and refined.

The Ornata has the presence and detail of a vintage piece, but it’s designed and handcrafted today using modern techniques and certified diamonds. Design Details

The old mine cut diamond centre stone sits in a double talon claw setting that holds the diamond securely while letting light flood in from every angle. On either side, carefully placed side stones add brilliance and frame the centre diamond, giving the ring its signature vintage character. The arrangement creates a sense of depth and richness that a solitaire setting simply can’t achieve.

The band is crafted with a profile that complements the ornate setting, refined enough to feel elegant on the finger without competing with the detail above. Every element has been considered to work together, from the proportions of the side stones to the height of the centre setting, so the ring feels balanced and cohesive from every angle.

The Ornata looks particularly striking in 18ct rose gold, where the warm metal enhances the vintage character and creates a soft, romantic glow against the diamonds. It’s also available in platinum, 18ct yellow gold, and 18ct white gold — each giving the design a subtly different personality.

Our lab-grown diamonds are graded to D or E colour with VS1 to VVS1 clarity and an Excellent or Ideal cut — the finest quality available, without the ethical and environmental concerns of mining. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined diamonds. They are real diamonds, certified independently by the IGI or GIA.

The standard shown here — D/E colour, VS1–VVS1 clarity, Excellent cut — is our recommendation and it’s the standard we set for our own rings. The cut grade, in particular, is something we never compromise on — it’s the single biggest factor in how much a diamond sparkles, and every stone we set is cut to Excellent or Ideal grade.
